On a grim afternoon at Roland Garros, Jamie Murray and Australian partner John Peers saw their doubles campaign end in the wind and rain on Court Seven.
The pair, seeded 11th, went down 6-3 7-5 to the experienced seventh seeds Nenad Zimonjic and Marcin Matkowski.
"We had a lot of chances but they served well and it wasn't easy conditions," said Murray. "They were better than us today - returned better, served better. We didn't deserve to win."
Katie Swan, 16, had a superb win over American Michaela Gordon in the girls' singles, saving a match point and recovering from 1-5 in the final set to win 4-6 6-4 8-6.
"I was struggling moving at the beginning; I was really nervous and I couldn't find my game until 1-5 in the third," said the Kansas-based Bristolian. "I'm glad I managed to find it!"
Fellow Briton Maia Lumsden went down 6-2 6-1 to Anna Blinkova of Russia.

"I think it's because I'm Serbian. We have combustible personalities and we are very emotional." Ana Ivanovic is asked why she is so "intense" on court.
"I think it is a little bit crazy how many medias here for me, and it's not unusual." Kei Nishikori has noticed how the media seats fill up for his matches.
